Challenge: Hoxton Street Monster Supplies was established in 1818 and prides itself as the world’s only purveyor of quality goods for monsters of every kind. However, by 2016 its website was looking scarily out of date.
Solution: A side project that replaced bugs and gremlins with a monster of a site that could help sell more goods and raise more money for Ministry of Stories, the creative writing and mentoring charity behind it all.
The website for the Hoxton Street Monster Supplies was in need of a redesign – I was among the brave humans who volunteered to make it more widely accessible to the undead.
At every step of the journey it was vital to capture the flavour of the shop for each discerning devil visiting online - from initial curiosity through to adding to casket and cursing their order.
Be it details on edible products or gifts, the site’s contents can now be translated into a variety of monster languages from mummy’s hieroglyphics to full on werewolfffffff
