Challenge: There are more Staffordshire bull terriers in Battersea Dogs & Cats Home than any other breed. They needed to help people reappraise this much misunderstood dog and improve the rate of adoption.
Solution: They’re softer than people think. Taking this literally, we commissioned a knitted Staffie and set about getting our message heard everywhere from poster sites and social channels, through to the House of Commons.
There are more Staffordshire bull terriers in Battersea Dogs & Cats Home than any other breed. The dogs pay the price for irresponsible owners, more interested in their own tough reputation than the dogs’ welfare.
With the help of two dog knitting experts and a lot of goodwill this campaign succeeded in changing the perception of this misunderstood breed.
